Tomatin Legacy is an experiment in wood. They have taken their signature Single Malt Whisky and aged some of it in ex-Borboun barrels and the rest in Virgin Oak. The introduction of Virgin Oak casks into the mix offers a new dimension with a vibrant and enticing sweetness.This brings more vanilla to the expression than the other products in their range. By our count — this dram has won at least nine prestigious medals since its initial release in 2014.

TASTING NOTES
COLOUR
18 Karat Gold.
NOSE
Notes of shortbread biscuits, fruit blossom, light stone fruits, roasted pineapple, quite powerfully juicy and fruity, a little cream and vanilla fudge.
PALATE
Crisp with notes of pineapple, fresh ground pepper, vanilla, fresh grain, oak, and tangy red grapefruit. Powerful cask appearance from the virgin oak providing the ‘aged’ character of the mid palate with oak spices, a little fresh green chili. Finally, some orange blossom, and a little whisky cream.
FINISH
The finish is medium-length and warm with some sweetness and spice.
